ABOUT HEIDI
Heidi Boerstler is a role model for all of us, whatever our age. She
is 55 years old and has been staying fit for over 35 years, first as
a nationally ranked masters swimmer, and most recently as a fitness
competitor, winning the Colorado state masters fitness title four consecutive
years and competing successfully at the national level, often against
women half her age.
In addition to her academic activities, Heidi also teached yoga and
fitness to the disabled and at homeless shelters.
She is a breast cancer survivor
Heidi believes that staying fit for life can be really fun; the key
is finhding seomething that makes you feel good and then going for it.
We want to help those fifty and older and the disabled find fun ways
to do just that.
Heidi believes that a key part of fitness is having an experimental
attitude - a willingness to have fun trying something new and differente,
no matter your age, no matter your fitness level, no matter your disability.......an
ability to laugh at yourself, to have fun being a beginner
Her goal is to help those age fifty and older and the disabled find
fun ways to do just that....to support your fitness goals. This is why
she recently made her first in a series of videos .......Having Fun
and Staying Fit for Those of Us Age Fifty and Older......soon to be
out is her video entitled Having Fun and Staying Fit for Those of Us
with Disabilities.
Heidi and all of us at the Anne Miriam Boerstler Foundation hope that
you will join us in our mission to improve lives through fitness for
